Community Garden

Residents from Rosemont can reserve a small 4-foot by 4-foot garden plot, located adjacent to the playground at the Barry Street Recreation Center. Residents can work on their garden plot throughout the warm months during building hours. Each household can reserve only 1 garden plot. There are small tools and a water source provided and each garden plot is prefilled with soil, so all you have to do is plant your vegetables, flowers, etc. It’s a great spot to meet and converse with fellow residents of the community. Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Who: Residents of Rosemont only
Registration: Monday, April 6*
Cost: No Charge

*Registration date may change due to weather. Please call 847-298-1965 for more information.

Outdoor Soccer/Softball/Baseball Field

The outdoor field is a large open artificial turf field with lines designated for soccer or softball/baseball.  There are two soccer nets installed on site.  The field is partially lit and can be used for games or just playing around.  There are also two sets of permanent bags/cornhole sets, as well as a walking track around the playing field.  Sometimes the Rec Center may reserve the field for after school programs or classes.  This area is not directly supervised; problems should be reported to the front desk.
